Where Settlewell started
A home abroad is exciting. Setting it up is not: new providers, unfamiliar contracts, a different language, and the worry of an expensive mistake.
Settlewell grew out of Workwide, the cross-border firm our founder Simon Nilsson built and led for a decade, moving people abroad for companies like Apple, Mercedes-Benz and Meta. The move was always the easy part; getting settled wore people down. Then in 2022 he made his own move to Spain and found it harder than it should have been. So he built Settlewell to fix that: power, water, internet, banking and insurance, set up in plain English, whether you're here for the summers or for good.
