Is Repsol right for you?
Repsol is mainly interesting if electricity is part of a wider driver, EV or energy ecosystem. It is not an English-first newcomer route.
Choose Repsol if
- You want to compare electricity within a broader fuel, EV or energy setup.
- You are comfortable with a Spanish-first journey or want Settlewell to handle it.
- You have standard Spanish documentation ready.
Look elsewhere if
- You need provider-native English support.
- You only have a passport and need document acceptance confirmed.
- You want a simple green challenger or official English-capable line.
What you choose, and what you cannot choose
Spain splits electricity into two jobs. The comercializadora is the retailer that bills you. The distribuidora is the grid company that owns the wires and meter; you cannot choose it.

Your local distributor. Repsol is not a main household distributor; grid tasks still sit with the assigned distributor.
Regulated route
Régsiti is the group route for PVPC, Spain's government-regulated electricity price, and Bono Social, a government discount for low-income households, when you are eligible.

CUPS
The permanent code that identifies your home's electricity supply point. It is on any bill.
Holder and ID details
Valid CIE, an electrical safety certificate from a registered electrician, DNI/NIE, deed or rental contract can be needed.
IBAN
Your bank account number for direct debit.
Potencia contratada
The amount of power, in kW, your home can draw at once. Check it before accepting the setup unchanged.
Provider-specific tips
- Document fit: Repsol is clearer when you have standard Spanish identity and property documents ready. Passport-only signup is not as clear as Endesa or Naturgy.
- Property fit: Check whether the wider fuel, EV or energy loyalty setup is genuinely useful to you.
