The short version
This is the closest call of the three. Both handle English speakers well. Endesa does it with an official line you can phone; Octopus does it with a service culture people recommend. Neither is cheaper by default.
Pick Endesa if you want the reassurance of a big company, an app that does everything and a passport-friendly signup. Pick Octopus if green electricity and no lock-in matter more to you than size.
English support
Endesa's customer line assists in English and Catalan, 24/7. It is published, so you know it exists before you sign.
Octopus is known for English-speaking service but does not publish an English line. Confirm the channel when you sign up. Most newcomers who choose it are happy with it.
Regulated tariff and bono social
Neither normal contract is PVPC. The Endesa group runs Energía XXI for the regulated tariff and bono social. Octopus has no regulated route. If you qualify for bono social, Energía XXI is your answer.
Moving in
With an active supply you do a holder change and the power stays on. Endesa handles that through its contract support and app. Switching to Octopus is a retailer switch, and if the contract is still in someone else's name, tell them you need the holder change too.
A cut supply is activated by the grid company for the address, whichever retailer you choose. Have the CUPS and a meter reading ready. Check the exact address before planning around a date.
Green electricity
Green is central to Octopus. Endesa sells certified renewable plans too. Read the certification on the plan you would sign, because that is what your bill reports. The grid company does not change.
Contracted power
Endesa lets you change contracted power in the app. Octopus switches you with the existing setting and you change it after activation. In both cases, check what runs at the same time before you lower it.
