Finetwork internet in Spain, for expats

Is Finetwork right for you?

Finetwork is a low-cost brand that runs on Vodafone's network. It can be very cheap, but two things are worth knowing: its corporate control is currently the subject of a legal dispute, and whether you get your own internet address or a shared one depends on the exact network at your address. Support is Spanish-first.

Choose Finetwork if

  • You want the cheapest fibre on Vodafone's network and you're comfortable in Spanish.
  • Your internet needs are simple: browsing, streaming, normal home use.
  • You're okay with a 12-month commitment on fibre.

Look elsewhere if

  • You work from home and need certainty. Whether Finetwork gives you your own internet address varies by address, and it may not be changeable.
  • You need English support, or a very stable, well-resourced provider. Settlewell can set up a supported option in English.
  • You want to avoid a longer tie-in. Finetwork's fibre is generally a 12-month commitment.

Prepare once, avoid most delays

Finetwork can be low-cost, but the contract and network details need checking before you order.

    Check the exact address

    Availability is address-specific. Check the full property address before comparing providers or choosing a bundle.

    Prepare the documents and bank details

    Finetwork documents can vary by sales channel. Do not rely on passport-only signup, and prepare an NIE, Spanish bank account and Spanish phone number for a reliable order.

    Check the technical fit

    Finetwork can be mixed by address: some lines get a public address and others may share one internet address between homes using Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CG-NAT). Avoid it for critical remote-work needs unless the setup is confirmed.

    Protect the installation appointment

    Make sure someone can answer Spanish calls, grant building access and approve router or cable placement. Keep the old connection active until the new line is installed and tested.

What English help can you expect from Finetwork?

Finetwork is Spanish-first. Do not choose it because you expect provider support in English.

Provider support

Finetwork does not publish a guaranteed English-support route for home fibre. Expect the normal journey to be Spanish-led.

Stores and agents

A helpful agent may speak English, but that is not a provider promise. Confirm conditions in writing before signing.

Practical expectation

Finetwork is better for Spanish-confident customers with simple home internet needs. If support stability matters, compare larger supported providers.
